• Lived in East Utica his entire life, and moved into Sitrin in May of 2002.
• Married to the love of his life, Linda, for 52 years. 
• He has three daughters, 10 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
• Daughters say he was the “family activity organizer.”
• Graduated from Utica Free Academy in 1928, and was the captain of the UFA Baseball Team.
• Owned and operated Gerald’s Men’s Shop on Bleecker Street for more than 40 years.
• Member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
• He has been very involved in the community throughout his life:
  • Member of the Utica Symphony Orchestra (1st violin) for 60 years.
  • Served as President of Downtown Merchant’s Association.
  • Helped to establish the East Utica Senior Center.
  • Helped to establish the Cornhill Youth Association.
  • Served as a member of the Utica Boosters and Utica Comedy Club.
