Sitrin is offering free hearing screenings at the New Hartford Adult Dining and Activity Center on Tuesday, August 11 from 9 am until 12 pm. Sitrin Audiologist Dr. Kimberly Keane will be offering appointments to individuals of all ages.
The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) estimates that 17 percent or 36 million American adults report some degree of hearing loss. Additionally, approximately one-third of Americans aged 65 to 74 years of age and 47 percent of those 75 and older have hearing loss, according to the organization.
