8th annual Celebrity Classic Wheelchair Basketball Game to feature SU's Andy Rautins!

New Hartford - It’s almost time for tip-off! Tickets are now available for the 8th Annual Sitrin Celebrity Classic Wheelchair Basketball Game, featuring Syracuse University’s Andy Rautins! The game will be held on Thursday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the New Hartford Senior High School gymnasium.  A team of local celebrities will compete against athletes from the Sitrin STARS (Success Through Adaptive Recreation and Sports) program.

In addition to playing wheelchair basketball against the STARS, Rautins will be available to sign autographs and take pictures.  He will also face-off with one lucky fan in a three-point competition!

During halftime there will be a traditional all-star basketball game featuring local high school and college athletes! Raffle items and refreshments will also be available.

Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Children under five are free!  To purchase tickets, please call Marc DePerno at (315) 737-2459. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Proceeds benefit the Sitrin STARS adaptive sports program.Created in 2001, STARS provides people with physical disabilities a number of exciting athletic opportunities that enable them to compete throughout the country and around the world. In addition to basketball, the STARS program includes golf, paddling, curling, air rifle shooting, and road racing.
