Jazzmatazz Raises More Than $21,000 Towards Local Arthritis Programs
NEW HARTFORD – With approximately 500 people in attendance, the 6th annual Jazzmatazz wine-tasting event raised more than $21,000 for local arthritis programs. Held on Friday, March 28 at Hart’s Hill Inn, Whitesboro, Jazzmatazz included world-renowned wines, gourmet food stations, gift baskets, a unique auction, and more.
All proceeds from this event are used to develop and implement specialized services for children and adults with arthritis in our community. Arthritis, a complex disorder that is comprised of more than 100 different diseases and conditions, can affect people at any stage in life and across all racial and ethnic backgrounds. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the United States, and nearly two-thirds of those who have it are younger than 65. Juvenile arthritis affects more than 300,000 children across the country.
