Sitrin Offers Summer Day Camp
NEW HARTFORD – The Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center is offering a summer day camp for children ages 6-14. The camp will be held at the Jewish Community Center, located at 2310 Oneida Street in Utica. This secure building features a gymnasium, auditorium with stage, and fenced area for sports and outdoor recreation. Children will also enjoy day trips to the beautiful Camp Sitrin, which includes nature trails, sports fields, and a 10-acre lake for fishing.
Sitrin’s Summer Day Camp will run from June 30 through August 29, with weekday hours specially designed for the convenience of working parents. Camp hours are weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Before care begins for campers at 7:30 a.m., and care is available until 5:00 p.m. Children must be dropped off and picked up at the Jewish Community Center each day, and they are required to bring their own lunch. The cost is $1,125 for the full nine weeks of fun, or $150 per week. Payment plans are available, and financial assistance may be provided for those who qualify.
Each week of the Summer Day Camp will have a new theme, and children are invited to enjoy one or more weeks of fun. Two themes unique to this year’s camp are Ocean Week, July 7-11, and A Daring Week of Adventure, July 14-18. Other themes include Survivor Week, Music Week, Nature Week, Circus Week, Science Week, Mythical Magic Week, and Camp Spirit Week. Campers will also enjoy sports, art and crafts, music, and so much more.
