PADDLE WITH THE SITRIN STARS!
Sitrin Medical Rehabilitation Center is looking to add new participants to its adaptive paddling program! The Sitrin STARS (Success Through Adaptive Recreation and Sports) adaptive paddling program offers several outings for individuals with physical disabilities. Family members and caregivers are also invited to participate in the outings.
Dates for upcoming events include:
- Saturday, August 23, 2008 at John Dillon State Park
- Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Fourth Lake in Old Forge
- Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Old Forge River and Rail
Kayaks, canoes, and other paddling equipment will be provided at no charge to participants. The program features several workshops presented by American Canoe Association-certified instructors, who train participants in proper adaptive paddling techniques and safety procedures.
Sitrin STARS is an innovative adaptive sports and recreation program that provides people with physical disabilities opportunities to lead full, active lives.
