Sitrin's Traveling Summer Day Camp

Sitrin's Traveling Summer Day Camp is a wonderful opportunity for children ages six to 14 to learn about nature, be creative, make friends, and have a great time!

The program is based at the Sitrin Health Care Center on Tilden Avenue in New Hartford. Campers will visit various local parks, along with Camp Sitrin, our 142-acre retreat on Graffenburg Road in Frankfort that features:

Nature trails
Playing fields
Pavilions for picnics
A beautiful 10-acre lake

Activities:

Summer Camp is both fun and educational, with a variety of activities that include:

Arts and crafts
Sports
Fishing
Music
Hiking
Swimming one day a week

...and so much more!

2013 Theme Weeks:

Building Bonanza/Architecture Week (June 24-June 28) - Learn about different types of structures and build something new every day!
Survivor Week (July 1 - July 5) - Have fun while learning outdoor survival skills, including how to make a solar oven!
Winter in July Week (July 8 - July 12) - Cool off with some winter-themed fun in the sun!
Space Exploration Week (July 15 - July 19) - Invent your own spaceships and aliens while learning about stars and planets!
Anything Goes Week (July 22 - July 26) - Every day is a "grab bag" of different fun-filled surprises!
Circus Week (July 29 - August 2) - Have fun putting together and performing your own circus!
Mythical Magical Week (August 5 - August 9) - Explore the world of fantasy and make-believe!
Camp Spirit Week (August 12 - August 16) - Round out the camp experience with games, shows, and a lifetime of memories!

This year's camp season features a daily activity board, more art projects, more time in the sprinklers, swimming one day a week, and more time outside! There will also be trips to Camp Sitrin's Graffenburg site twice a week, and other local parks... a different destination every day!
