There are times when you or your loved one may need 24-hour skilled care for a just a short time. That is why Sitrin offers short-term or "respite" care. Respite care is ideal for:

• individuals approaching the end of a hospital stay who need additional recovery time before returning home;
• individuals whose family caregivers are away for a period of time and who are unable to stay at home alone;
• caregivers who need a brief planned respite from the pressures of balancing their care responsibilities with the demands of family and career

Sitrin respite care offers an excellent nursing home short stay alternative – world class care for temporary stays.

Respite care features:

• Sitrin's renowned 24-hour skilled health care services
• Recreational therapy programs
• Dining with fellow respite care patients
  
• Access to physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy
• Beauty / barber shop services (for a nominal fee)

Payment and availability.

Payment for respite care services is arranged on an individual basis. Medicaid is accepted as a source of payment for those eligible. Availability of respite care will vary according to community demand.

Make your reservations early.

If you think you may need respite care in the near future, please make your reservations as soon as possible. A minimum 30-day advanced notice is preferred, although Sitrin will accommodate more immediate requests as space allows.
