Short-term inpatient rehabilitation at Sitrin provides a vital link between the hospital and home for people recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.

Sitrin's state-of-the-art medical rehabilitation facility includes 46 private rooms (with private bathrooms) for post-acute medical rehabilitation patients, including those with severe physical impairments, neuromuscular conditions, and health problems due to obesity.

The private pay rate for room and board for inpatient medical rehabilitation is $630/day. There is a 6.8% New York State assessment fee in addition to the room and board rate.

Sitrin's physicians, therapists, nurses, and related professionals work together as a team to deliver you comprehensive care services. Each care team tailors the rehabilitative care plan to your specific needs, interacting closely with you and your loved ones to ensure a highly responsive rehabilitation experience.

Introducing your care team:

Full-time Physicians with extensive backgrounds in physical medicine and rehabilitation, cardiology, and internal medicine.

Trained Rehabilitative Nurses and Certified Nurse Assistants provide and coordinate a plan of care, while also taking into consideration your need for physical rehabilitation.

Case Managers coordinate care, participate in treatment and discharge planning, and help you understand your recovery program to achieve your goals.

Physical Therapists help you achieve a range of recovery goals, including strength, balance, endurance, and mobility.

Occupational Therapists maximize your independence in daily activities, enhance strength and coordination, and train individuals in the use of adaptive equipment, if needed.

Recreation Therapists offer a variety of programs, including kitchen safety skills, functional balance, horticulture therapy, and educational and leisure activities.

Speech-Language Pathologists provide individualized programs to treat speech, language, memory, thought processes, swallowing, and other communication-related conditions.

Psychologist works with other team members to provide counseling and support whenever needed, and help patients and families adjust to life-changing illnesses, injuries, or disabilities.

Registered Dietitian plans therapeutic diets according to your specific needs and diagnoses.
