The Sitrin Medical Rehabilitation Center offers vision therapy for patients of all ages. We provide highly effective, non-surgical treatment for many common visual problems, including:
- Lazy eye
- Crossed eyes
- Double vision
- Binocular dysfunction
- Certain reading and learning disabilities
Sitrin Vision Therapy helps you train your brain to use your eyes more effectively for receiving and processing information. If you struggle with reading, are recovering from a recent stroke, or simply want to improve your performance as an athlete, you may see a real difference with this program. It may be particularly helpful for those with neurological conditions, or those who have problems with peripheral vision.
Individualized treatment plans
At Sitrin, we treat you as an individual, with a unique set of issues and concerns. Your vision therapy program will begin with a comprehensive vision assessment – a skilled occupational therapist will evaluate a variety of vision skills, such as
- how your eyes work together,
- your ability to focus from near to far,
- eye movements, and/or
- muscle balance.
Vision therapy sessions are then tailored to meet your specific needs. While many disorders can be treated effectively with corrective lenses or vision therapy, often a combination of both brings the best results.
