At halftime, two lucky fans will challenge Andrew White and John Gillon to a three-point competition. Cheering on our players will be the Sitrin Comettes Dance Team, who will also perform at halftime. Other activities include a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and free autographs! Don’t forget to grab a snack at our concession stand.

“I’m extremely grateful that the community has embraced this unique event for the past fifteen years,” says Marc DePerno, director of the Sitrin STARS program. “It’s difficult to express the profound impact that adapted sports has on individuals with disabilities. The funds raised from the Sitrin Celebrity Classic will continue to enhance quality of life and ensure that sporting opportunities will continue for years to come.”

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for those five and under. Get your ticket on game day at the door, or in advance at Sitrin in the Community Relations Department.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sitrin STARS program, which provides opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities to participate in adaptive sports. In addition to wheelchair basketball, the STARS program offers wheelchair curling, road racing, target shooting, paddling, biathlon, archery, and golf. Sitrin STARS athletes have competed on the international and Paralympic level, and have represented the United States throughout the world.

The Celebrity Classic is sponsored by Sitrin, as well as Fust Charles Chambers, MetLife, The Hartford, The Fountainhead Group, Human Technologies, Carbone Auto Group, BNY Mellon, Utica College, and News Channel 2.
