Sitrin Partners With Wounded Warrior Project

NEW HARTFORD - Sitrin, in conjunction with NASCAR’s Kevin Harvick Inc., Pinnacle Foods Group LLC, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Chevrolet and Richmond International Raceway recently sponsored the Richmond Race Hospitality Program. This event supports the Wounded Warrior Project, whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors of the United States Armed Forces.

New Hartford- Sitrin will host its first-ever Paralympic Military Curling Camp on Sunday, December 12 and Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Utica Curling Club, Clark Mills Road, Whitesboro. Eight wounded warriors from Illinois, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin will participate in this unique sporting opportunity, having served our country in the Army, Navy, or Air Force.

New Hartford-Team USA #1, comprised of Sitrin STARS athletes Augusto Perez and Jacqui Kapinowski, as well as Penny Greely and Laura Schwanger, took home the gold at the 5th Annual U.S. Open International Wheelchair Curling Bonspiel, held November 12-14 at the Utica Curling Club.

New Hartford- Six Sitrin STARS (Success Through Adaptive Recreation and Sports) athletes will participate in the fifth annual U.S. Open International Wheelchair Curling Bonspiel to be held November 12– 14, at the Utica Curling Club, located on Clark Mills Road in Whitesboro. Download Schedule

NEW HARTFORD - The Sitrin Foundation’s Expanding the Comforts of Home capital campaign recently received a generous donation in the amount of $40,000 from Northeast Construction. The check presentation took place at Sitrin’s new Cedarbrook Assisted Living and Enriched Housing facility. Utica, NY - Proceeds from the Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Broker Charity Golf Event, held on June 17, 2010, raised more than $20,000. This annual event benefits nonprofit organizations from across upstate New York. All proceeds from the tournament are generously donated by insurance brokers and consulting firms. Locally, the Central New York Adaptive Recreation and Sports Fund was one of the four selected charities.

NEW HARTFORD – Marc DePerno, occupational therapist, and director of the Sitrin STARS (Success Through Adaptive Recreation & Sports) program, has been awarded the O.C. Tanner Inspiration Award, which honors individuals who worked behind the scenes to provide encouragement for Team USA at the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Vancouver, B.C.

NEW HARTFORD – Back by popular demand, Sitrin has kicked off its Annual Harley-Davidson motorcycle fundraiser! This year’s model, a 2011 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic FLHRC, features the new Twin Cam 103™ engine, as well as ABS brakes for better stopping confidence, and the H-D Smart Security System to keep the motorcycle safe from theft.

Frankfort – When you think of summer day camp, you often imagine children fishing, making arts and crafts, and hiking. However, on Tuesday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m., it will be “a horse of a different color” as the children of Camp Sitrin will get a visit from miniature horses of Triple Creek Farms in West Winfield!
