osteopathic
A holistic approach to care.
Sitrin's now offers the services of an Osteopathic Clinic at its Medical Rehabilitation Center.
Treating the whole patient.
Osteopathic medicine is based on a philosophy of treating the entire person instead of individual symptoms. While their primary focus is on the musculoskeletal system, osteopathic physicians are trained to understand how the body's systems are interconnected and how one area of the body affects others. They help the body heal itself through innovative treatment techniques, and focus on preventative strategies and healthy lifestyle choices.
Doctors of osteopathy are fully trained and licensed physicians, able to prescribe medication and perform surgery. They are trained to approach patient care as generalists first and specialists second, and the majority work as family-oriented primary care physicians.
Sitrin's doctor of osteopathy is Dr. Richard Chmieleski, DO, FACEP.
