Registration is now open for the Sitrin Health Care Center’s 9th Annual Stars & Stripes Run~Walk for our Nation’s Heroes. Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, this event was changed to a virtual format and will take place from September 26th to October 3rd.
The Run~Walk is the primary fundraiser for Sitrin’s Military Rehabilitation Program, which provides comprehensive, complimentary care to post-9/11 veterans at Sitrin.
Sitrin’s unique event takes place online and involves people interacting in a virtual environment, rather than in a physical location. Individuals can choose any form of activity to complete the two-mile walk, 5K run or 5K wheelchair race. For example, individuals can participate by bike riding, roller skating, skateboarding, swimming, hiking, walking, running, even kayaking or canoeing. This new format is flexible, family-friendly and fun, and will help keep people safe through social distancing.
Participants can track their activities using a GPS, Fitbit, pedometer, or any other device.
