Sitrin Celebrates 75 Years of Community Care, Reveals Future Expansion Plans
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (September 9, 2026) – The Sitrin Health Care Center is excited to announce its 75th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its long-standing commitment to providing exceptional healthcare throughout the region.
Perhaps most exciting, Sitrin is excited to announce its latest expansion to create a 40-bed Memory Care facility that will provide specialized care for older adults diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Groundbreaking is planned for April 2027 with completion by June 2028.

Founded in 1951 as a six-bed home for the elderly and infirm, Sitrin has evolved into a state-of-the-art medical complex that provides a multitude of services including a 188-bed healthcare facility comprised of a 46-bed post-acute inpatient rehabilitation unit, a 32-bed neuro-specialty unit serving individuals diagnosed with Huntington’s disease and ALS, and a 110-bed skilled nursing program located in nine residences, as well as respite care, enriched housing and assisted living programs, special needs residences, medical adult day program, outpatient medical rehabilitation, adaptive sports, concussion management, military rehabilitation program, child care, and a Wellness and Aquatic Center.
