Medical Nutrition Therapy is a nutritional method to managing medical conditions. It is not about dieting; instead, it is about meeting your special needs through a healthy approach to lifestyle and eating habits.

What will Medical Nutrition Therapy do for you?

Through Medical Nutrition Therapy, a Registered and Certified Dietitian will work individually with you in the following areas:

  • Individualized meal plan to meet your lifestyle
  • Reading food labels
  • Healthy cooking tips
  • Locating resources
  • Guidelines for eating out
  • One-on-one nutrition counseling for specific conditions

Why meet with a Registered Dietitian?

Registered Dietitians (RDs) are food and nutrition experts. They are trained in the scientific principles of Medical Nutrition Therapy and weight management. RDs are recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Additionally, RDs are skilled at providing practical approaches to help you apply science-based changes that will meet your lifestyle and improve your health.
